CO: CAROLINE ASTRID, MD

I’m Caroline Astrid, MD — a Medical Doctor with a curious mind and a deep-rooted fascination for dermatology, venereology, and aesthetics, where science meets artistry, and healing blends with enhancing.

I graduated with honors from Santa Ursula High School, Central Jakarta, one of Indonesia’s leading schools known for its strong emphasis on academic excellence and character building. Surrounded by a competitive and intellectually stimulating environment, I cultivated discipline, critical thinking, and a relentless drive for growth — qualities that continue to shape my professional ethos today.

I pursued my medical degree at General Soedirman University, Purwokerto, Central Java, where I developed a deep interest in dermatology. During medical school, I realized that dermatology is not merely about aesthetic concerns — it is a medical field encompassing life-threatening emergencies like Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, chronic recidive conditions like psoriasis, infectious diseases, and dermatologic manifestations of emerging global health threats like COVID-19. I witnessed how chronic skin conditions profoundly affect patients’ overall quality of life, fueling my passion to contribute meaningfully in this field.

Wanting to deepen my understanding and share insights with a wider community, I found the perfect opportunity to grow through collaborative learning: Dermapamine.

Through Dermapamine, I am fortunate to continue learning alongside fellow doctors who share the same vision, guided by passionate supervisors committed to maintaining high scientific standards. Together, we aim to create trustworthy, accessible, and meaningful dermatology education for a wider audience.

Today, I am committed to further advancing my expertise in clinical dermatology, sexually transmitted infections, and aesthetic procedures — always with a focus on combining scientific accuracy and patient-centered care.
