Hi, Dopamine Seekers!

My name is Widya Khairunnisa Sarkowi, but you can call me Widya. I am a medical doctor and lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, IPB University. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada and an MSc in Genes, Drugs, and Stem Cells from Imperial College London. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a strong interest in dermatology and venereology, particularly autoimmune skin diseases.

My passion for this field has been shaped by various experiences, including working as a research assistant in the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at UGM, serving as a teaching assistant in Pathological Anatomy—where I handled dermatology and venereology cases—and contributing to multiple research projects and journal publications in this field. During my master degree, I worked on a research project about validating biomarkers of scleroderma and evaluating a novel therapy in scleroderma cells, a collaboration project between Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine and Imperial College London.

Through my contributions in Dermapamine as gen 7th contributor, I hope to further enhance medical education in the field of dermatology and venereology, while also raising awareness about skin and genital health and introducing innovative advancements.
